d20世代の古強者なら、Advanced Bestiaryのことを覚えているに違いない。元は2005年に出版されすぐにヒットした。この本には100を超えるテンプレートとそれらのサンプルクリーチャーが掲載されていた。本書がGMに提供する効能は莫大なものだった。私が言いたいのは、Advanced Bestiaryは他の君が持っているモンスター本よりもずっと価値があるものになるって事だ。
今、私達はAdvanced BestiaryをPathfinder向けにアップデートして再び世に送り出そうとしている。
Pathfinderファンからやってくれっていっぱいせがまれたから、作るのを決断することは簡単だった。例えば今年の夏、私は日曜にPaizoConに出向いた。公式な立場は一切抜きでね。ミニチュアのトレードに参加し、バーでぶらぶらして友達に会うためさ。にもかかわらず、多くの人が私のところにやってきて言うわけだ。「Advanced Bestiaryをアップデートしてくれ！」私達がFreeport Kickstarterを今年の初めに成功したことを既に話していたからだろうね。でも個人的な要望が家にやってきていたんだ！
もちろん2005年にはそうでなかった多くのPathfinderがいたことは分かっている。それにPathfinderの出版者Owen Stephenは、本書からテンプレートを使って新しいサンプル／モンスターを作っているのも理由にあった。彼は3体の新クリーチャーで取りかかった。ケイヴ・オーガ / Cave Orge、トシック・ゴブリン / Toxic Goblin、オータム・ジニー / Autumn Genieだ。そのとき同じ基本クリーチャーを持ってきて、3つの異なるクリーチャーを別のテンプレートで作り出した。ヘラルド・オヴ・ラグナロク / Herald of Ragnarok、ダークリング / Darkling、アンブレイテッド・ジニー / Umbrated Genie。水曜の更新で、これらのサンプル・モンスター全てをダウンロードできるようになる。

テンプレート集は便利そうですね
特に低レベル帯ではモンスターの種類がマンネリ化してしまって辛いこともあったりとか…ここは是非成功していただきたい（あ、出るのは確定しているのか）
